In 2022, Paramount announced that they will discontinue Voot in favor of Paramount+ [1]. However, Voot and its sister services merged with Reliance-owned JioCinema the following year and those plans were scrapped, with Paramount opting to launch a Paramount+ hub on JioCinema.
In August 2023, Voot was discontinued.
