The channel launched on March 1, 1999. Nickelodeon broadcast a block with the same branding from 2000 to 2002.

Nick Games and Sports for Kids

2003–2007

Nick GAS

In 2003, the channel was shortened to Nick GaS. In 2006, Nick GaS was launched in Latin America replacing Magic Kids and was replaced by Nick Jr. in 2008. The channel was shut down on December 31, 2007 and was replaced by the 24-hour The N channel. An automated version of GaS was retained by Dish Network until April 23, 2009, when it was replaced by the Pacific feed of Cartoon Network.

NickGames (Pluto TV only)

2019–2020

NickGames Vector 2019

On November 9, 2019, a streaming channel similar to Nick GaS named NickGames was launched on Pluto TV. The network folded once again on August 18, 2020.

In 2023, the name was revived replacing the name for Nickelodeon Games.

2024–present
