RTL Group, from Radio Télévision Luxembourg, is a pan-European media group headquartered in Luxembourg, owned by the German media conglomerate Bertelsmann. It is the biggest commercial television and radio broadcaster in Europe, with 61 television channels and 30 radio stations across 10 countries, and it also owns the television production company Fremantle. RTL Group uses the RTL brand in most of the countries it operates in, except in France (where the TV brand is M6, though radio stations are branded as RTL) and Spain (where the group’s local subsidiary is Atresmedia).
Until 2023, there were three different types of RTL logos: one type was corporate, used in Germany, Hungary and Croatia; another was used in Luxembourg, French-speaking Belgium and France (radio stations only); and a third logo, which was used exclusively by RTL Nederland. However, this would be changed as the new unified look of the RTL brand gradually launched in 2021; despite the change there are still a few assets that do not use this look.
