Bindass (meaning carefree), launched in 2007 as UTV Bindass, was a Hindi youth entertainment channel that aired youth-oriented programs along with some music shows, much like MTV and Zing, as well as the now-defunct Channel V. It was owned by The Walt Disney Company India, which acquired Star TV in 2019.

Bindass was scheduled to shut down on 1 December 2021, along with several other Disney and Star channels in India,[1] three years after the closure of Star’s Channel V in 2018 (before Star’s acquisition by Disney). However, on 26 November 2021, these changes were indefinitely postponed, due to a delay in the TRAI’s new tariff rules. After 4 years of delays, the channel finally shutdown on March 15, 2025.
