Machinima was launched on January 5th, 2000^[1] as a website to make 3D gaming animation. It was founded by Strange Company, a registered charity based on Edinburgh.^[2]

Around December 10th to December 15th, Machinima underwent its first major logo redesign.

It wasn't used for their website banner until 2010.

2013–2018

On November 17, 2016, Warner Bros. bought Machinima, becoming a division of Warner Bros. Digital Networks.^[3]

2018–2019

On February 14, 2018, Machinima underwent its first rebrand under Warner Bros. ownership; this would become its largest rebrand yet, changing its main colors from red and black to lime green.

In January 2019, Machinima abruptly discontinued their YouTube channels, with their videos set to private, officially ceasing operations in February.
