DTX was launched as the Discovery Civilisation Channel on October 1, 1998.

Discovery World

2008–2009

On April 18, 2008, the European feed of Discovery Civilization was renamed to Discovery World.

2009–2021

In November 2009, Discovery World adopted a new logo, slightly more in line with the Discovery Channel logo of the time.

Discovery began phasing out the World brand in 2013, first rebranding it to Discovery Turbo Xtra in Poland.

In March 31, 2016, Discovery World ceased operations on the Middle East and Africa replacing Discovery Family.

The last remaining countries in Europe are The Netherlands and Belgium remains to broadcast until December 31, 2020, as of 2026, the Latin American channel still remain to broadcast.
