In early 2011, Microsoft Surface received a simplified, new logo.
Microsoft PixelSense
2012–2014
After a Microsoft tablet was revealed which had the same name, Surface was renamed to PixelSense. PixelSense has been discontinued in 2014 in favor of Microsoft Surface Hub. However, the brand is being reused for their display technology used in the current Microsoft Surface family and it is not related to the former interactive surface computing platform.
