The Mineplex servers for both Java and Bedrock were closed on May 16, 2023.

On March 7, 2026, Mineplex owner Sam Dawahare announced that he had given control of Mineplex to James, with the Java server set to relaunch in the summer of 2026 ^[1]. A day later, it was also announced that the 2017 logo would be reinstated ^[2].

On late May of 2026, Mineplex announced they are fully reviving the servers in June 12, 2026.

2023–2026

On May 27, 2023, former Mineplex administrator Sam Dawahare^[3] announced that he had completed a full acquisition of Mineplex. The site was brought back on September 18 with a new logo, with the servers relaunching as part of a closed beta in May 2025.
