Windows Subsystem for Android — logos

Windows Subsystem for Android is an Android emulator for Windows 11 made by Microsoft. It is based on Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) but it is designed to emulate Android apps. WSA comes with Amazon Appstore to download Android apps.

Due to low user interests in running Android app on Windows 11 PC, Microsoft decided to end its support for WSA by March 5, 2025. However in May 28, 2024, they decided that WSA will continue to work in Mainland China thanks to its partnership with Tencent to provide its app store for WSA platform.
