WJBK TV (1994)

In 1994, station owner New World Communications announced a group deal with Fox that saw all of their stations switch to the fledgling network, and the station took over Fox from former affiliate WKBD-TV (channel 50) on December 11. CBS initially targeted ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV (channel 7), but its owner The E.W. Scripps Company signed an agreement with ABC that renewed its affiliation contract with WXYZ-TV. CBS would later purchase lower-rated WGPR-TV (UHF channel 62) in September 1994. The station kept its 1988 logo, but it was now set at a low 3D angle.
