Launched:  November 20, 2000

On November 20, 2000, at 8:00 AM, ABS-CBN launched Myx, a music program for Studio 23, replacing the MTV block on the channel which, more than a month later, became its own channel, MTV Philippines, airing on NBC Channel 41 (now known as One Sports). The block was then officially launched on January 1, 2001 with a live street party called "Ready to Myx" in Makati. Early on, it was aimed at an upscale audience as with the channel it operated on, Studio 23, meant to complement the mass-based main ABS-CBN network.

Launched:  February 14, 2002

On February 14, 2002, owing to Gabby Lopez (then chairman of ABS-CBN) stating that running Myx and Vid-OK separately was not financially sustainable, Myx and VID-OK merged, and it was launched as a stand-alone 24-hour cable music channel, and from then on changed its branding and programming to better appeal to a wider audience. Despite this, the Myx block would remain until January 16, 2014, when Studio 23 rebranded to ABS-CBN Sports+Action on January 18, 2014; the program would be solely available on cable until July 29, 2018.

On July 30, 2018 until May 5, 2020 (due to expired franchise, and cease-and-desist order filed by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) against ABS-CBN), Myx became available on digital free-to-air TV via ABS-CBN TV Plus on DTT channel 12 (DTT) as well; it was originally launched as a free trial channel in Manila, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro.
