DYAB's precursor DYBC 570 came on air in 1957 under the predecessor, Alto Broadcasting System.

DYCB 570 (AM)

196x-1972

Later it renamed to DYCB and then it operated until September 23, 1972 with the forced closure of ABS-CBN with the declaration of Martial Law. Its frequency was then taken over by Banahaw Broadcasting Corporation for DYDY, which was later given to Presidential Broadcast Service, moved to 576 khz in 1978, and in 1986, renamed as DYMR. DYCB later became the callsign of NBC's Cebu station, which was later renamed as DYAR, and then sold to SMNI and is now off-air with a cease-and-desist order from the NTC.

On May 5, 2020, the station's broadcasting activities, together with that of ABS-CBN's other television and sister radio stations, ceased following the cease-and-desist order issued by the National Telecommunications Commission due to the expiration of ABS-CBN's legislative license to operate, the renewal of which was rejected on July 10, 2020. Today, the 1512 khz frequency remains vacant.
