ABS-CBN launched DXEC 91.9 Cagayan de Oro under the ABS-CBN Star Radio banner in 1994. This marked ABS-CBN's return to Cagayan de Oro radio airwaves 22 years after the declaration of Martial Law, which shut down ABS-CBN's former Cagayan de Oro radio outlet, DXCL 700 on AM radio (later taken over by Banahaw Broadcasting under callsign DXCT).

The network actually did plan a return to AM radio in Cagayan de Oro under callsign DXOR, but, perhaps owing to the Asian financial crisis that struck in 1997, it did not materialize.

On July 14, 2001,  as 91.9 CDO celebrated its 6th year, Malvern Esparcia (known on-air as Brother Bernie, now as Bernie Bitokbitok/Tita B) changed the name of ABS-CBN Radio to MOR (known as My Only Radio) which means the province of Misamis Oriental - which other ABS-CBN regional stations (and in 2013, ABS-CBN FM's Manila flagship DWRR) would later adopt.

On May 5, 2020, the station's broadcasting activities, together with that of ABS-CBN's other television and sister radio stations, ceased following the cease-and-desist order issued by the National Telecommunications Commission due to the expiration of ABS-CBN's legislative license to operate, the renewal of which was rejected on July 10, 2020.

The 91.9 frequency has since been given in 2024 to Marian Radio of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro, which formerly aired on 103.9 mhz.
