Sonic Mega Collection was released for GameCube in United States on November 11, 2002 and Europe on March 7, 2003. The compilation was later re-issued under the Gamecube's Player's Choice label in European countries in September 2004.
Horizontal variant, this was also used on sidebar for the Japanese packaging

Released in United States on November 2, 2004, this compilation had numerous re-releases, notably CD-ROM/DVD-ROM version being re-issued multiple times under different budget labels with the latest standalone release being in Hungary dated on April 23, 2010.[7]
In United States, the game was also re-issued couple of times, which include Sonic Mega Collection Plus & Super Monkey Ball Deluxe for Xbox in 2005 and 2009 Sega Fun Pack bundle with Shadow the Hedgehog for PlayStation 2. In 2009, the compilation was included in Sonic PC Collection CD-ROM bundle in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, as well separate Special Edition of the bundle at Australia in 2011.
