WMGC-FM made the switch to all-Sports Talk format at approximately 3:00 PM EDT on August 12, 2013, a switch that had been speculated for two years. It is the third station in the Detroit radio market to pick up ESPN Radio programming after WDFN and WCAR.[1]

On July 1, 2016, WMGC dropped its sports talk format in favor of R&B and classic hip hop.[2]
