VTV3 is a Vietnamese state-owned free-to-air channel of Vietnam Television, it has, since launching in 1996, been designated as a channel for sports, culture and general entertainment. (Finance was originally part of the output but was slowly scrapped)
1994–1995 (test broadcasting)
The channel started test broadcasting on April 1, 1994. However, VTV3 was a programming block on Thaicom 1 satellite.
1995–1996 (test broadcasting), 1996–1998
On 15 April 1995, along with its sister channels, VTV3 changed the logo to the official logo, which includes pink-red V, green T and cyan V and pink-red number 3 (which is flat top).
On 31 March 1996, VTV3 was officially launched as a programming block on VHF channel 6 (Hanoi).
In 1997, VTV3 became a channel on UHF channel 22 (Hanoi).
1998–2010
Used as a screenbug from February 24, 1998 until February 2, 2010.
On 24 February 1998, VTV3 with its sister channels (except VTV4) revamped the colours of the logo. But on 31 March 1998, VTV3 was officially launched as a channel on satellite.
2008–2012
Used as a screenbug from Frebruary 3, 2010 until December 31, 2012.
2012–present
On 31 December 2012, the corners of the logo became rounded.
On 31 October 2022, VTV3 and the other channels began to remove the HD letter, after the launch of VTV Can Tho (formerly VTV6).
On 30 July 2024, VTV3, along with VTV1, VTV2, VTV4 and VTV Can Tho (changed new clock on 23 July 2025), began to replace the font of their clock screen bugs to Tahoma.
