In 1962, Standard Oil of Ohio and it's sister brand Boron adopted matching logos. Sohio would be acquired by BP in 1978 per the stipulations of their 1968 acquisition of BP's American division.
1987–1991
This prototype logo was seen at a handful of renovated Sohio stations, while the previous logo continued to be used for most other purposes. BP began converting Sohio and Boron outlets to their own name on April 25, 1991.
