A brand new logo was unveiled on December 17, 1999, now being a red circle with the letters "Santa Isabel" in cursive Frutiger Bold typography and underneath it a white smile. The panda bear continues until 2002, mainly on marketing such as shopping bags, before being quietly retired.
This logo was designed by Chilean agency IMAX Branding[1].

In 2011, Santa Isabel tried to introduce the name SISA (shorthand of Santa Isabel Sociedad Anónima), using this logo in advertising and even opening stores with this logo. Although the logo was dropped the same year, the name SISA is still used as an in-house shorthand for the supermarket.
The logo was the same, only with the name replaced by its acronym for Helvetica Rounded typography.
