Mattel began using a boy mascot, initially named Mac Mattel.

The "Mac" Mattel mascot was renamed Matty Mattel; the seal, or "sun" used in this logo has been used by the company's logo since. This logo was reused in 2024 for the Hot Wheels Mattel Creations The Transformers Optimus Prime toy.
