American Eagle Airlines
1998–2013
In 1998, AMR Group announced to merge its self-owned regional airlines, which included Simmons Airlines, Wings West Airlines and Flagship Airlines, into one regional carrier. The merge to form American Eagle Airlines was done on May 15, 1998.
2013–2014
On April 15, 2014, in order to avoid confusion between the regional carrier and the regional brand with same name, American Eagle Airlines renamed to Envoy Air.
Envoy
2014–present
American Airlines Group announced on January 14, 2014 that American Eagle Airlines will be renamed Envoy. The name change took effect in April 15, 2014.
