This icon was used during the presumed later pre-iPhone OS 1 mockup of iPhone OS prior to launch, known due to prototypes released during court exibits of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. v. Apple Inc., Case No. 11-CV-01846 (N.D. Cal.).[1] No camera application exists on the first mockup.

This icon was used from iOS 7 in September 2013 to 2017.
