The Smash Hits! TV channel was launched on 15 May 2001. It was named after the magazine of the same name, which ceased publication in 2006.
2012–2016
Smash Hits! got a new logo in 2012 and the white and yellow (later red) colour removed on letters and had a raspberry-red colour, the I is now cut and the font changed. At the same time, the TV channel went widescreen, along with sister channel Kiss.
Box Hits
2016–2022
On 29 June 2022, Box Hits was replaced by the new version of 4Music following E4 Extra's launch.
