In 2018, &co was quietly rebranded to anko after replacing the letter 'c' with a 'k' to "pay homage to where it all started - Kmart Australia". anko also means "a new kind of", representing the company's changed philosophy since 2008.[1]
Target Australia also began stocking anko products in 2024. At some point, anko ended up becoming an international brand as well, where Kmart Australia made arrangements to sell its products in other department stores in countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, and Canada. In March 2023, Zellers began stocking anko products after obtaining exclusive distribution rights to the brand in Canada, and in November 2024, Kmart Australia opened an anko store in the Philippines, its first in Asia. anko products have also since been sold online in India through Amazon and Flipkart.
