From 1983 until 1999 the company was owned by Swiss pharmaceutical conglomerate Sandoz (which later became part of Novartis).
Since 1999, Wasa has been owned by the Italian Barilla Group.
2002–2009
The was logo was updated in preparation for an international expansion in 2002/2003, now all in lowercase and the crown has been made to look like a sheaf.
