On December 11, 2025, WBT's FM simulcast partner for its news-talk-sports programming was changed from a station at 99.3 FM to a more powerful one at 107.9 FM, replacing its existing hot AC format "Mix 107.9", which moved to 100.9 and 99.3 FM. At the same time, the new FM partner changed its callsign from WLNK (callsign then transferred to the former WPZS, which moved to 610 AM) to WBT-FM. It was also announced that this simulcast was only temporary, and, as of January 7, 2026, WBT would change to a new, undisclosed, format.

On January 8th, WBT ended its simulcast of 107.9 FM, and with it, it's news/talk format, now redirecting listeners to the new FM frequency.
