SBC 12
1984–1991
Test broadcasts on SBC 12 began on January 15, 1984, showing the test pattern between 9am and 7pm, while was officially and formally inaugurated by Minister for Culture S. Dhanabalan a while later, on January 31st at 7:30pm SGT with cultural programming on its line-up and broadcast night to four hour and ten minutes per-night broadcasting from 7:30pm to 11:40pm SGT.
The channel started off as airing arts and culture programming and eventually sports programs, in stark contrast to the mainstream programming provided by Channels 5 (then a mix of English and Malay programs) and 8 (a mix then of Chinese and Tamil programs).

Channel 12

On January 31, 1994, Channel 12 officially relaunched with a revamped logo, a new identity, designed by Novocom, with its music score to match, composed by Frank Gari and Danny Pelfrey at Gari Media Group, and the channel's then-new slogan, "Something Special".
Before this, the channel saw a major programming shift: all Malay programming formerly on Channel 5 moved to Channel 12 as 5 became an all-English channel. Then, as plans were laid for a fourth TCS channel, a decision would be made where Channel 12 would became the new home of Tamil programming formerly on Channel 8 which was to become an all-Mandarin channel.
Prime 12
1995–2000

Channel 12 became Prime 12, repositioned as a multicultural TV channel, on September 1, 1995. From there on the channel shifted its focus to its Malay and Tamil programs, while its former arts and culture programs moved to the fourth TCS channel - Premiere 12.

Suria
2000–2010
In January 30, 2000, Prime 12 rebranded as Suria, and all Tamil-language programs were moved to Central (replacing Premiere 12) under the Vasantham Central channel as, from this point onwards, it became an all Malay-channel. This channel launched at 3:00 a.m. and broadcasted a special evening show to coincide with Eid al-Fitr, titled Sinaran Suria, at 8:30 p.m. Suria also used its then-new slogan, "Sinaran Hidup Anda" (The Rays of Life in Malay).
This logo has been modified to display properly on Logopedia's white background. The original logo has all of its lettering in white, which can be seen here.
2001–2005
A variation of the logo with a brighter color scheme was used prominently alongside the main logo from 2001–2005, but was less frequently used in its later years.
2007–2010

2010–2023
2023–present
On February 1, 2023, all Mediacorp channels, radio stations, programming blocks, digital news platforms and digital products changed their logos, keeping their current names but adding a Mediacorp logo prefix. Suria also received a similar new logo that is based on the corporate Mplifier branding identity, with the word "suria" in yellow-orange placed beside the Mediacorp "M" logo.
