1972
Note
- Despite the belief that Pong was the first ever electronic game released, it actually originated from the Table Tennis game first released by Magnavox Odyssey, the first home console, a year prior. In contrast, this version was developed by Al Alcorn under Atari founder Nolan Bushnell for coin-operated arcade machines, popularizing the arcade industry. Eventually, Atari would pay for licensing rights after settling a lawsuit from Magnavox.
