The channel was originally going to be named "Bute", a Portuguese word meaning something akin to "let's go", inviting children and teenagers to "be a part of" the channel. After requests by Portugal's Media Regulatory Authority (ERC), the channel was renamed Panda Biggs.

On February 19, 2026, Dreamia, Biggs' parent company requested permission from the ERC to turn Biggs into a Portuguese version of the Spanish channel VinTV. The channel launched on May 4th at 5 AM, seven hours before its intended launch.
