Comcast began marketing its triple play service as Xfinity on February 3, 2010. They did this because of negative reception under the Comcast name.

On September 19, 2017, Xfinity unveiled an updated logo for the Xfinity Series. On November 1, 2017, the new logo took effect on several promotional materials, including the company's Facebook page.

On August 27, 2021, during Tokyo 2020, the logo's primary color adjusted from red to a tone of purple-indigo as its current branding now utilizes the NBC Peacock colors to keep in line with the unionized system of which certain Comcast subsidiaries utilize.
