Boston Braves
1932

The team used the Boston Braves baseball team logo as well as the field for the 1932 season before moving to Fenway Park.
Boston Redskins
1933–1936

The Boston Redskins used this logo from 1933 to 1936, when they relocated to Washington D.C. in 1937.

This logo was designed by Walter "Blackie" Wetzel of the Blackfeet tribe.

In 1982, the logo was tweaked with the feathers being tucked under the circle instead of hanging from it. This change was made due to decals not properly sticking to helmets. After one season, the Redskins reverted to the previous logo due to the decal manufacturer introducing a more flexible material.
1983–2020
Washington Football Team

On July 13, 2020, the Washington Redskins announced they would be retiring the Redskins name and logo due to public and sponsor pressure, with many considering the nickname offensive towards Native Americans. During the 2020 and 2021 NFL seasons, the team temporarily referred to itself as the Washington Football Team until they can secure trademark rights for their new name.
Washington Commanders
2022–present
The name "Commanders" was announced on February 2, 2022.[1]
