In 2007, they stopped using "Ed the Head" mascot and was re-branded with the slogan 'Original Great Taste' and 1976-style packaging. It was reformulated with fewer additives and no E numbers. However, despite the addition of real fruit juice and the absence of artificial flavourings, colourings and sweeteners the new recipe was met with backlash and the added fruit juice was removed in 2009. However this was not enough to prevent the brand from decline.

It was rebranded in 2011 with a new logo and the slogan "The Great British Pop".
