In 1998, when NBC was bought by MediaQuest Holdings from the Yabut family and Manny Villar, DZAM had a callsign change to DZAR, after its new Angel Radyo branding.
DZAR Sonshine Radio 1026 kHz
2005–2010
In 2005, NBC sold all of its AM stations - DZAR 1026 included - to SMNI (then known as ACQ-KBN) of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
2010–2023
Some time in 2021 or 2022, the station went off the air on AM radio for a period of time to give way to the transfer of its transmitter to an undisclosed area for better coverage, while debuting on digital free TV. It returned on AM on December 2, 2023, but the station, along with the rest of the network, soon had, on December 21, its operations suspended by the NTC for 30 days. Less than a month later, the NTC issued a cease-and-desist order against SMNI for violating its 30-day suspension order as its TV and radio stations in Region VI were operational as of December 27, 2023, reducing DZAR's operations to Facebook and YouTube.
