Along with V and Max, Foxtel closed Country Music Channel on 1 July 2020. Foxtel's in-house music channels were replaced with a suite of ViacomCBS brands; NickMusic, CMT and a expanded presence of MTV. Country Music Channel's own frequency was taken over by CMT.

On 1 July 2025; five years to the day after shutting it down, Foxtel relaunched Country Music Channel along side Max and five new music channels.
