The logo was simplified in 2000. The "coin-and-star" symbol from the old logo was dropped, although a part of the star was kept as a offshoot from the wordmark.
2011–present

In early 2011, a new look for the Coinstar machines was introduced. The old logo was kept as a corporate logo for Coinstar Inc. until 2013, when the corporate name was changed to Outerwall. In 2017, the corporate name was changed back to Coinstar, now using the 2011 logo.
