In 1997, due to the Children's Television Act (CTA) requiring all broadcast television stations (including CBS) to air educational and informative (E/I) content for children, CBS Kidz was renamed Think CBS Kids.

The older-skewing Nickelodeon series were removed from the block, and the revival of Nick Jr. on CBS premiered on September 18, 2004, refocusing the block back exclusively toward preschool-oriented series, and per the FCC requirements.

KOL Secret Slumber Party

As a result of the split between CBS and Viacom, CBS dropped Nick programming entirely, and launched a new block called KOL Secret Slumber Party as a partnership with DIC Entertainment and KOL, a children's brand from AOL.

Despite the shutdown in 2013, the block's website remained active until 2026.

CBS Dream Team

On July 24, 2013, CBS announced it had entered into a programming agreement with Litton Entertainment to launch a new Saturday morning E/I block replacing Cookie Jar TV.

2023–present

On September 20, 2023, CBS and Hearst Media Production Group announced that the CBS Dream Team would be renamed to CBS WKND. The logo debuted on October 7, 2023.
